Polyphemus Press is pleased to announce the publication of Josiah Golson's The Souls of Free Folk.
The Souls of Free Folk is an illustrated poem celebrating the African-American experience through the trials and triumphs of an artist’s coming-of-age story. It is a moving tribute to the power of culture and family in the struggle for personal growth.
Josiah Golson is an artist, lawyer, and writer from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is the founder of the 800 Collective, a diverse group of artists using art as a means of civic engagement and public discourse. Josiah’s work comprises of creative workshops, public art projects, and community development.
Josiah will read from the book at the release party, February 2, 2018, at the Association for Visual Arts (Chattanooga TN).
