Yemin Yin’s Ashes and Echoes Published

December 1, 2017

Polyphemus Press is pleased to announce the publication of our first poetry-in-translation title.

Ashes and Echoes is Ms. Yin’s first collection of poems, written between 2010 and 2017, and available to English readers in this bilingual edition for the first time. Illustrated with 21 of the author’s own paintings and drawings in ink and watercolor.

Yemin Yin is a poet, painter and urbanist practicing in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. A deep personal vision permeates her work across several media. Her poems, and the paintings which loosely illustrate them, are perhaps the most direct entry point into a fertile and socially-committed imagination.

The publication coincides with the opening of Yemin’s multimedia exhibition, “One-House Zoo,” at the 7th Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture.

The book is available now via Amazon.

194 pp, 21 color illustrations.
